Proceeds from this event will support the TEA Fund, which provides funding to people in the northern region of Texas who are seeking abortion and cannot afford it. Come and learn about their efforts, and stay for readings from five women who will be sharing stories, essays, and poems about a time they felt seen.

Proceeds from this event will support Al Otro Lado, an organization that offers immigration-based legal services to indigent deportees, migrants, and refugees in Tijuana, Mexico. Come and learn about their efforts, and stay for readings from five women who will be sharing stories, essays, and poems about a time they faltered.

Our next event in New York City will be a unique panel discussion featuring scholars Vanessa Péres-Rosario, Sandy Plácido, and Vanessa K. Valdés and moderated by novelist (and Freya reader) Stephanie Jimenez.
The conversation will focus on the panelists’ work on overlooked or misrepresented Puerto Rican historical figures.
This event is about supporting the Women’s Freedom Fund, a Colorado non-profit that provides direct financial assistance to individuals seeking abortion care. Come and learn about their efforts, and stay for readings from five women who will be sharing personal essays about a time they made their point.

Proceeds from this event support Equal Pay Today!, an organization that works in coalition to leverage the expertise, network, and resources of its state projects and roundtable organizations -- at the national, regional, and state level -- to close the gender wage gap across the United States.
The Freya Project is excited to host a collaborative event with Jennifer Baker for her short story anthology Everyday People: The Color of Life. Jennifer read at the first Freya Project fundraiser in January 2017 and she has been a steadfast supporter of our work since then. We are thrilled to not only support her amazing anthology but to also raise awareness and funds for The Trans Women of Color Collective.
A members-only event for all Wing Women, writers Naima Coster, Melissa Febos, Michele Filgate, Hermione Hoby, & Crystal McCreary read about a time they fought for themselves.
Proceeds from this event support Taller Salud, a nonprofit based in Loíza that works for the health and wellbeing of girls, young people and adult women in Puerto Rico.
Come and get inspired by readers Bethany Ball, Iris Cohen, Akil Kumarasamy, Kate Schmier, & Darley Stewart, all responding to the prompt “A Time You Pushed Yourself.”
